IS MOVING OUR BREAD !
Most of you have probably
heard about our famous, but misunderstood, SANDWICH
casters. If you've never heard of this special
caster, then this success story of a Canadian
bread manufacturer should catch your attention.

Some of you may have noticed
that some bread manufacturers use four wheel carts
to deliver bread from their facilities to your
local grocery store.
One of our customers, who
was using 3" solid nylon casters, decided
to reduce replacement costs, therefore in 2002
we recommended our 4" SANDWICH casters. Since
then, this bread manufacturer has seen a significant
decrease in the number of casters replaced.
The
solid nylon wheels originally used could not absorb
the continuous shocks when, for example, the carts
were accidentally dropped from the delivery trucks
onto the pavement. Many wheels would break in
half, resulting in tremendous drawbacks: maintenance
time, money and non-use of equipment. Our customer
wanted to keep using hard wheels because of the
ergonomic issues involved, (hardest wheels result
in lowest starting
efforts), but they also needed the
shock absorbing capabilities of soft and elastic
rubber wheels. This is why we offered the SANDWICH
casters: Shock absorption combined
with minimal starting effort
and noise reduction which are
the three fundamental characteristics behind the
SANDWICH wheel's design. (Sandwich
Wheel).
Today, this bread
manufacturer has reached its cost saving goals
by investing with Bleutec casters. We have since
sold to them over 40,000 units of the 4"
Sandwich casters.
