of the month
Our main goal is to keep you up to date on the
news and developments at Bleutec.
We
also want to share with you our technical knowledge,
industry news, and sales tips. What's more, a
section will be dedicated to interesting facts
(on just about everything), and we'll have a thought
for the month that we believe you'll find pleasure
in reading.
Bleutec maintains its mission to be the leader
in the material handling industry and as a result,
the leader.com has been created. We hope that
you will be as enthusiastic in reading this newsletter
as we are in preparing it for you.
In this first issue, we want to tell you about:

Letter
from the editor
It
is with much enthusiasm that we are releasing
the first copy of our journal, the leader.com
Why do we call this the leader ? Simple. Becoming
the leader has always been part of Bleutec's mission.
Indeed, leadership implies many possible interpretations.Did
you ever hear of the "sitting duck"?
That's basically what we aim not to be!
A leader keeps moving or gets the entire team
to move. He has new ideas, great visions, communicates
these visions, and gets results.
Because
many of you receiving this journal are in the
business of "selling themselves" and
their products, we will constantly be searching
for those good-to-read principles of life and
sales tips.
By
the way, since LEADERSHIP is the subject of this
letter , here is something I found to be illustrious
about many of the so called leaders out there:
DIFFERENCES
BETWEEN A "BOSS" AND A "LEADER"
-
The boss drives his men, the leader coaches
them
-
The boss depends upon authority, the leader
on goodwill
-
The boss inspires fear, the leader enthusiasm
- The
boss says "I" , the leader ' we'
- The
boss fixes the blame for breakdown, the leader
fixes the breakdown.
- The
boss says "go", the leader says, "let's
go"

We
have created this newsletter on the basic principles
of a newspaper. We know your time is precious,
and that you will want to choose what is interesting
and important to you.
The
leader.com
implies teamwork and everyone at BLEUTEC is involved
in this endeavor. As editor, I may even ask you
to write an article for us!
Signed,
Frederic Lagace

What's
new at Bleutec?
Over
the summer, Bleutec has been busy updating its
Web site.Improvements to the product section have
been made.
First, pictures and diagrams with dimensions of
the rigs have been added to the Web site's product
section.
Next, a more thorough description of each series
has also been inserted. By clicking on a selected
product, a presentation page that describes the
series and its destined applications will come
up. Then through a link, the on-line user will
be able to choose from a variety of wheels that
can be set up on the selected rig, in accordance
to the desired weight and application.
During
the coming months, Bleutec will continue their
work on the Web site. New pictures and additional
technical information are only a few of the updates
planned for http://www.bleutec.com.

Bleutec's
history and its team
Bleutec
is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
What started as a one man company has grown into
a 13 member team. Located in Longueuil, on the
south shore of Montreal, Bleutec has recently
added 3000 square feet to its original 6000 square
foot warehouse to store the increased inventory
of wheels and casters.
Throughout
the years, Bleutec has built a distribution network
that covers the entire province of Quebec. Distributors
range from hardware stores to industrial suppliers
to large national distribution chains. End users
that call the Longueuil office are referred to
distributors in their area as Bleutec is committed
to its network.

The
sister companies
Bleutec
has 2 sister companies working
out of the Longueuil office. Wheelmax, established
in 1995, handles the Ontario market, and Bleutec
Wheels & Casters deals with the United States.
Together with Bleutec, they are making the material
handling industry in North America take notice
of unique products, such as the Resilex
and sandwich casters. Both Wheelmax and Bleutec
Wheels & Casters expect to follow in the footsteps
of Bleutec and their success in the Quebec market.

News
from
Bleutec's sister company, Wheelmax, has been going
through some changes over the summer. Dominique,
Frederic, Jocelyn, and Nancy have made monthly
trips to Toronto and the surrounding areas following
Ken's departure in May. They each take a couple
of days out of their regular schedule to visit
distributors and to continue to develop the Ontario
market.
