LETTER
FROM THE EDITOR
Happy Summer Vacation!
What
is more enjoyable, at this time of the year, than
to be thinking about the upcoming days and weeks
of vacation that most people will be taking over
the summer, where we can reenergize and spend
good times with friends and family…
This summer edition of the
Leader is a festive one where we talk about summer
activities and holidays, as the Leader too will
be taking a summer break.
Before we head off on holidays,
we present to you our new sales representative,
Philippe Raptis. Also, Beth shares her thoughts
about her first weeks as part of the Bleutec team
(which we had NO influence as to her comments);
Nancy once again has an article about her favourite
topic (can you guess?); we have talk about World
Cup fever; and news about Bleutec’s promotion,
upcoming show, and technical information on Blickle’s
LK-ALST caster series.
The
entire Bleutec teams wishes you a great summer
holiday season, and make sure you take some time
to rest up, so like us, we can be ready to stir
up fresh ideas and tackle new projects upon our
return from holidays.
Signed,
Luc Turcotte

| Our
new colleague

Since June 12, 2006, we have a new sales representative,
Philippe Raptis, who will be handling sales
for Western Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
With his past experience
in the industrial market, he understands customers’
needs and will do his utmost to assure the quality
service that Bleutec is recognized for.
Within the next few weeks,
after his period of familiarizing himself with
his new environment, you will have the pleasure
of meeting Philippe as he’ll be hitting
the road to meet with you.
Welcome to Bleutec
Philippe!

Funny
Mike is being a nuisance
in class.
The teacher points his ruler at Mike and says,
“There is a fool at the end
of this ruler”.
Mike replies, “At
which end”?

Summer
Holidays
Summer has officially arrived,
and the entire Bleutec team would like to wish
you a great summer, and happy and safe travels
during your vacation.
Let’s
hope that all the talk of global warming won’t
bring too much heat and humidity, and for our
friends in the southern states, we hope that this
hurricane season is a calmer one than last year.
Enjoy the summer sunshine!

| Beth’s
thoughts…
Two
months have passed already!
They say time goes so fast
when you’re having fun; and I am having
fun all thanks to the wonderful Bleutec team and
to our very helpful and understanding clients.
I’ve certainly
learnt a lot about casters so far, and there’s
still a long road ahead, but I’m sure it’ll
be a great ride.

| Football
(Soccer) fever
As millions of people all around
the world are living and watching,
are you also living World Cup
fever? Being Canadian, it is sometimes
difficult for us to understand
the craziness surrounding the
sport of soccer, which is still
quite new here, although there
are more and more youngsters playing
the sport.
At
the time of writing this article,
there are only 8 teams still in
the running to become the world’s
soccer champions. According to
the experts, logic is being well
respected because the teams in
place are the elite class of World
Cup soccer. As of June 30th, we
will be watching matches that
will be most intense, rough, and
of the highest level of competition.
In Montreal, we can experience
first-hand soccer fever by heading
to the different districts of
Montreal, where the real fans
live and watch the games. It seems
that watching a match in Montreal’s
Little Italy is quite the experience,
and imagine if Italy were to win!
There’s the same type of
phenomenon in other areas of Montreal,
where there is strong support
for Brazil, France, and yes, Germany!
Now,
when will Canada qualify for the
World Cup? Ahh..it may take another
8 years, but how knows? Stranger
things have happened, like the
Montreal Canadiens’ #1 goalie
being from France!
Bleutec
wishes the best of luck to the
top 8 teams, and the best of fun
to all fans. As for us, being
part of Blickle, we will be cheering
just a little bit harder for Germany.

Bleutec
at CMW in Toronto

Bleutec will be exhibiting at the Canadian Manufacturing
Week show at the International Center in Toronto
from September 26th to the 28th.
This show will give Bleutec
the opportunity to promote Bleutec and Blickle’s
growth and development on the Canadian market.
We’ll be showcasing some of our new casters,
such as the heavy duty spring-loaded casters
and the towable Extrathane® polyurethane
dual casters.
We will be sending out

Liquidation
sale of discontinued
Guitel products
In the next few weeks, make sure that you
check your incoming e-mails from Bleutec as
we are preparing a liquidation sale of discontinued
Guitel wheels and casters.
There
is only a limited quantity of items, therefore
it will be a first-come first-serve basis.
Details on the quantities available, diameters
and dimensions, as well as weight capacities
and pictures will permit you to see exactly
what we have on sale.
This will be considered a “final sale”,
and unfortunately we will not be able to accept
any returns for the products sold.
Be on the lookout for our upcoming sale!

NEW PRODUCT INFORMATION
This month, I took a
break from my thoughtful e-mail collection in
order for me to introduce you to a new caster
from our stocking selection of Blickle casters:

the LK-ALST 4" and 5" caster series.
Although this series of
casters is not in our Volume 4 catalogue, we
do have the LK series available from our inventory.
The
LK-ALST casters are probably the most
ergonomic industrial handling 4" and 5"
casters we have ever offered. The European-made
Softhane wheel with its precision ball bearing
hub and soft polyurethane tread (75 Shore A)
will reduce the starting and rolling efforts
to their minimum. With a weight capacity of
550 lbs. each, these casters are suitable for
heavy equipment and for any intense material
handling application where durability, ergonomics
and user comfort are required.
Please do not hesitate
to download the Blickle catalogue page with
the complete range of LK-ALST casters by clicking
on the following link: LKALST

My
favourite weekend of the year…
This past weekend,
I was sitting in Section 34, Row KK, Seat 1,
with my race t-shirt, cap and earplugs, clapping
my hands anxiously waiting for the F1 cars to
hit the track.
Yes, it was my favourite weekend of the year
– F1 in Montreal! I even took a couple
of days off to feel the buzz of the F1 circus
in Montreal, with my camera and autograph pen
just in case I would have bumped into one of
the 22 drivers downtown. (I did cross paths
with Flavio Briatore, team boss for Renault).Yes,
I turned into a groupie for a few days!
But back to racing, I wasn’t decided whether
I would cheer on Mr. Schumacher (it may be his
last season in F1) or not (I’m still questioning
his Monaco manoeuvre). If I’ve had the
opportunity to speak to you about racing, you
know that I have the utmost respect for Mr.
Schumacher for his outstanding record and driving,
but I’m not personally crazy about him.
Yet, it did soften me up to see that he lent
his voice for the movie, Cars.
Anyhow, it was a great weekend. Both weather
and race day were perfect! Lots of action, and
a real champion podium: F. Alonso, M. Schumacher,
and K. Raikonnen.
Already can’t wait until next year!
