LETTER
FROM THE EDITOR
It is sometimes
said that a company that ages well, and that ages
along with their employees is a sign of stability.
Well, this past March, we celebrated Linda’s
15th anniversary with Bleutec.
With the start of spring,
I’d like to take a moment to thank the whole
Bleutec team for their dynamism and strong customer-oriented
service. Sunny days of March and April showers
help melt the snow, and that most definitely keeps
people smiling, especially since spring lasts
about 12 months here!
Our goal is to bring you
a newsletter that is visual and fun, and this
edition of the leader.com brings you both personal
and business articles and pictures.
Thank you to all,
and enjoy the spring.

Signed,
Luc Turcotte

LETTER
TO STEVE
Dear Steve,
I had not seen you in about
a year, until I visited your facility recently.
For a brief millisecond, I froze when I noticed
that you had no hair or eyebrows left. Of course
I had a good idea of what had caused this.
After I … unfroze,
you explained how you went through all of it and
how you are doing much better today.
Steve, I think that you
had to have had a lot of courage to go to war
against this disease. I am not about to forget
the lesson I learned from our conversation that
day.
Thank you.

15th
Anniversary
On
March 5, 2005, Linda celebrated her 15th year
working at Bleutec. During the years, she has
held many different positions at Bleutec.
She has also experienced
the good and sometimes bumpy road of a growing
company, and did so by always taking pleasure
in helping others.

Congratulations
Linda!

You
sell what?….Casters!!??
Where do you sell those!?!
It is always funny to
explain to people what I do for a living.
I like to mention how my job takes me to the
most unusual places. For example, have you ever
been in a paint ball manufacturing facility
?
This is the perfect example
of an unusual place. Without going into details,
the process of making paint balls is very similar
to that of making pharmaceutical products.
As you will notice from
our pictures, man-handled mobile equipment is
required to move raw material and finished products
through different phases of production. For
over 5 years with these maintenance-free Sandwich™
casters, there is no doubt that we've helped
increase productivity in this facility.
I take this opportunity
to thank those responsible for allowing us to
take these pictures. Their cooperation is greatly
appreciated.

| Racing
on ice
Yes, it
may be a bit early to talk “race talk”
with another 2 months to go before the F1 circus
arrives in Montreal, but somehow I just can’t
help but share a February weekend with you.
The last weekend in February,
we went to the “Challenge sur Glace”
(Ice Challenge) in Sherbrooke, which is about
120 miles east of Montreal. Yep, racing on ice!
It was my first time seeing winter racing, and
it was VERY cool!
Races are held on a 1
mile road circuit that is built on a 2-feet
base of ice, and there are 3 different car and
bike series racing, or rather, sliding around
the circuit. We saw the Andross Series, which
are European T3F cars (supercharged Fiats, Citroens,
and Opels that reach maximum speeds of 100 miles/hour
on the ice!); Subaru Rally cars; and 450cc Pro
Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki motorcycles.
All cars and bikes have
studded tires: 174 nails/per tire for the Andross
Series; 110 nails/tire for the Rally cars; and
unlimited number of nails for the motorcycles,
and they still slide around the corners!
Thankfully it wasn’t
too cold that weekend, and we were able to enjoy
the whole day outside. Here are some pictures
from Sherbrooke. Enjoy!
