| LETTER
FROM THE EDITOR
Finally,
winter is behind us! The months of May and June
will permit us to turn our backs on the cold weather,
and we can start planning our summer activities.
This edition
of the leader.com contains the usual topics, such
as presentation of one of our distributors, products,
and news.
With
your input, the next 2 editions of the leader.com
will focus on your news: your
summertime activities, golf tournaments, or barbecues.
We’ll be more than happy to share with our
readers what your company is organizing for the
upcoming summer season. We’re anxiously
waiting your e-mails!
Signed,
Luc Turcotte

This
month, we present SJB (Saint Jean Bearing), a
Bleutec distributor since 1987.
Founded in 1974 by Mr. Andre
Caisse, SJB was the first industrial equipment
distributor in the St. Jean sur Richelieu region.
As agriculture was and still is important in this
region, many of their customers are linked to
the farming industry. Today, SJB focuses on developing
more of the industrial as well as institutional
markets.
Mr. Caisse’s
philosophy has not changed since 1974: to participate
in the region’s flourishing social, cultural,
economic, and sporting aspects of the community.

New products / new catalogue
We’re presently working
on the 3rd edition of the Bleutec mini-catalogue
that we anticipate to be ready in September. The
addition of new casters in the catalogue will
permit us to offer an even wider range of products.
We’ll keep you up to date on the developments
of our catalogue in the upcoming editions of the
leader.com.

| Flying,
Part 2
In the February
issue of the leader.com, I wrote
a small article about Auggie, our
distributor/pilot from the west
coast.

This month,
I thought I’d share with you
some pictures that he took while
flying over the Rockies. Aren’t
they awesome?!!
As for his
IFR, he has only 1 flight test left
before he passes the big exam. He
promises to send us a picture, after
he lands with his passing grade!

For those
of you who are new to the material
handling industry, the PROMAT show
is THE event that you should see
at least once. It is one of the
largest events of its kind and attracts
people from around the world. This
event takes place every two years
at the McCormick Place in Chicago.
Bleutec Wheels and Casters has been
a PROMAT exhibitor for close to
a decade.

Promat
2001
We are already
preparing for this great event and
we wanted to let you in on what
we are planning for the January
show.
We
can’t share all of our secrets,
but what we can tell you is that
we are planning to be, as always,
a step ahead. Bleutec has always
tried to stay away from the “casters-on-the-table”
approach during our shows. This
year, we’re in the process
of revamping our booth and we'll
be focusing on images and applications.

Promat
2003
We'll surely
be including the setup of our booth
in an upcoming edition of the newsletter.

PROMOTION

|
In
the last edition of the leader.com, we had a promotion
that we believed would be advantageous for our
readers. Unfortunately, only a few of you benefited
from our promotion of a 5% discount off of your
orders.
You’ll have to continue reading the future
editions of this newsletter, and stay attentive
as we will surely be giving you the opportunity
to take advantage of this type of promotion.

Trip
to the land of the Rising Sun
As you may already know,
we have been offering for 2 years now our Economax
series that we import directly from Asia.

At the beginning of May,
I set out East with the objective to solidify
our relationships with our suppliers and to
visit their manufacturing plants.
I was pleasantly surprised
to see the modern industrial equipment and buildings
that are not more than 4 or 5 years old. The
efficiency of the workers made us understand
the reasons why we’re seeing the flood
of Asian products in our markets.

During
my stay, I also visited the exhibition in Canton
where I met suppliers that carry products that
would complement our wheels and casters. We’ll
keep you updated on any new developments or
products that we may work on.
