| LETTER
FROM THE EDITOR
A quarter
of the year is already behind us. Do you agree
that time is quickly passing by, sort of like
an F1 car?

If our lives are as fast-paced as they are, it
is most likely due to our continuous search for
excellence, and the only way to achieve it is
through hard work and new challenges that we impose
on ourselves.
This month, the leader.com brings you news about
our Web site, catalogue, new products and ideas,
a promotion, and an article about one of our Quebec
distributors.
At Bleutec, we're making things happen and we're
keeping on the move, which is a big part of what
we're all about.
Signed,
Luc Turcotte

This month, we are proud to present to you one
of Bleutec's first distributors, LYRFAC. This
specialized hardware store started to service
the industrial market out of a 28 foot trailer,
back in 1968.
Lyrfac quickly became a
reference in specific fields like cutting tools,
high precision measuring equipment, and material
handling equipment. They became a customer of
Bleutec's in the early years of Bleutec's existence
in the late 80's.
In 2002, Lyrfac moved to a new building for the
third time in its existence (see picture).
Lyrfac's philosophy is that
organized and engaged efforts, combined with conscience,
is that everything can be improved. This is how
they progress every day.
We take this opportunity
to thank the entire team at Lyrfac for their partnership
and their consistent sales effort for our products.
For more information,
please contact Claude Lessard at 819-566-5858

New products
As you may already
know, it has been more than a year now that we
have been offering the Economax series, which
we import directly from China. Since we have been
working with the same suppliers throughout the
year, we intend to visit these suppliers in the
next few weeks in order to ensure the products’
quality, as well as to find new sources and new
products.
If you think
of a product or products that we presently don’t
carry, but that may interest you, please let us
know so that we can search for sources and products
for you during our visit.
Your
support is essential, and it’s thanks to
your ideas and demands that we have become the
caster supplier that we are today.

| Response
to our February survey
Much to our own surprise,
we
received a large number of completed surveys.
We thank you again for sending us your comments
on the leader.com newsletter.
In reference to our drawing,
which has held on March 12th, Mr. Claude Julien
of Marcel Morissette Inc. won the pair of hockey
tickets for the Montreal Canadiens game.
For
those of you who didn’t get the opportunity
to participate in our survey and drawing, you
will certainly get a chance to participate in
one of our future promotions. Simply continue
to read the leader.com!

Bolt
hole casters, Part 2
This is the second part
of my article on bolt hole casters. You may
recall reading the first part where I described
the caster and its advantages and some of
its drawbacks.
When you decide how
or what casters to install onto a mobile material
handling unit, you must first consider the
long term reliability of the “connection”
between the unit and the casters. In
other words, from the equipment design’s
standpoint, too often, the wrong adapters/fittings
(expanders, solid stems, threaded stems
or top plates) are chosen. The result
is that end users are penalized by having
a unit that doesn’t roll easily. This
is especially true for material handling equipment
that is used in intense applications where
they are moved all the time, every day, and
carry heavy loads in difficult environments.
Too often, the bolt hole casters end up crooked
and the raceways open up. If this is the case,
top plate casters are your best bet.
With
17 years of experience in the North American
market, and in addition to Guitel’s
experience in Europe, Bleutec has gained a
competitive edge by offering and assembling
a wide variety of reliable expanders and adapters
onto our casters. You can see these on page
13 of our new Mini Catalogue, or you can simply
click on the following link: www.adapters
Give
us a call the next time you have to choose
between a top plate or a bolt hole caster
for your prototype.

| Bleutec,
a different kind of company?
Bleutec has often been perceived
as a special or different type of company that
wants to make an impact with its original ideas
and its team’s implication and contribution.
This year, we’re trying
something different by involving all employees
in our sales force. Throughout 2004, our order
desk and office people, as well as our shipping
and receiving team will head out on the road to
visit Bleutec’s clients.
Their
experience and knowledge acquired throughout the
past years gives them the required competence.
Furthermore, the direct contact with our customers
shows how each member’s regular work is
important, and even gives them new ideas on how
we can continually improve our service to you.
The whole Bleutec
team is quite enthusiastic about this new challenge,
and our goal is for you to benefit from it.
