in 4" and 5", the Sandwich wheel were
developed for a wide variety of material handling
equipment.
Quiet in use, sandwich wheel are recommended where
noise is a problem.
This wheel is highly successful in meeting the stringent
requirements of UK supermarkets, with more than
1 million casters currently in use.
The
combination of a hard tread (polyamide) and a resilent elastic absorbing
ring provide a unique performance:
The
tread is particularly robust,
minimizes the starting effort
and allows lateral movement
of the caster in areas where
space is limited.
Made
from enriched Niltec, the tread
has a much longer life than
a traditional polypropylene
wheels. The Sandwich wheel needs
less frequent maintenance and
replacement, thereby reducing
costs and optimizing use of
trolley fleets.
The
blue elastic rubber absorbing
ring inside the Sandwich wheel
considerably reduces the noise
level (up to 10 decibels) emitted
by the trolley. Much quieter,
material handling carts and
platform trucks fitted with
Sandwich wheels can be used
where noise reduction is a factor.
